Well I know I need out of this place
Pick up the pieces, live a new way
Don’t like my job and my roommates a slob
The fish don’t bite , the future isn’t so bright - For me

So I looked on line and made some new plans
You know I’d leave right now if I had the chance
But my tank is low, And my wallet is week
My friend just called , he said let’s have a drink - It’s on me

I’m driving on a long, lost road to nowhere
I know the right direction but I always get lost
Ya see status quo works if you like where you’re going
I just live for today
It’s myself I betray
I know I need to change
Because I always get in my way

I know I should go out and make some new friends
Surround myself with helping hands to lend
My will’s as low as my self esteem
I’d trade it all just to fulfill my dreams - We’ll see

It’s been a long, hard road I know
Sometimes I act so crazy -
Sometimes the lowest low
I’ve been so busy trying to find myself -
I lost site of you

Although they’re strange, they’re true

Been trying to make some sense of it all - I need a - Just a little more time
Don’t want to hurt the ones I love the most - but I can - be so unkind
Been making hell of heaven, laugh and I cry - all at the same time
Bi-polar bear please leave me alone I think it’s time I melt your ice

And float you down the stream - So far away from me
I’ll pretend it’s all a dream - just go far away from me
No faults, just remedies - just get far away from me
Was lost but now I see - ‘cause you’re far way from me

You see the ads on tv-
There’s probably someone you know
You see them just plain lazy-
The next they’re go go go
Don’t judge too quickly-
It’s not really their fault
The bears grip is hasty
A scarred mind results

I see a willow tree outside my window
Those lush and pretty leaves feeling the breeze
Sprouted from the ground a hundred years ago
Hard to believe from just a tiny seed

I hear the songs from a mourning dove
It fills the air with it’s cooing begs
To see him fly so high above
Hard to believe from a tiny egg

The wonders of this life is so amazing
As we grow old we’re always changing
Sometimes you only have yourself
It’s up to you and no one else
So work hard and try to achieve
Have faith in yourself and just believe

We all have to start our journey somewhere
Try not to dwell on what you can’t change
Reach deep inside you know it’s in there
